En una mañana de martes de agosto, no muy temprano, fuimos al Hermitage, que abre a las 10h30. Mis tickets prepagados no sirvieron casi de nada, porque el procedimiento es más o menos como sigue:

- Se hace una cola en la puerta principal.
- A las 10h30, se abre y debes correr por el patio para hacer una nueva cola. Por supuesto, el orden anterior no se guarda.
- Diez minutos después, se abre y debes correr de nuevo en el interior del edificio para hacer un amontonamiento (no una verdadera cola) en la taquilla.
- Fuimos a "información" con los tickets ya pagados, y el documento impreso que lo probaba. La señora fue muy amable, nos llevó a la taquilla y a través del montón de gente.
- La persona que estaba en la taquilla cogió el documento impreso, mi pasaporte y una libreta, y comenzó a pasar páginas buscando la referencia de mi reserva. Tras un par de minutos (la gente a mi alrededor empezó a gritar) encontró mi código, tachó en la libreta, y empezó a escribir en otro papel la información del documento impreso y de mi pasaporte. Me pasó el papel para que lo firmara. Lo hice, se lo devolví, hizo una fotocopia. Pulsó un botón en el teclado, y se imprimieron dos tickets. Empecé a sentir cómo me asesinaban con la mirada a mi alrededor. Finalmente, esta persona tras el cristal devolvió la libreta a su sitio, puso mi documento impreso en una leja, la copia en otra, y me devolvió el pasaporte y ambos tickets.
- Con los tickets en la mano, simplemente entramos.

Dicho lo cual, me parece que no es muy maleducado por mi parte decir que la organización no es demasiado brillante. De hecho, había pagado 330 rublos por persona, y el Hermitage es gratis para estudiantes. Y de todos modos hay que hacer la cola. Así que, si llegáis temprano por la mañana (temprano... a las 10h30!), simplemente corred un poco y tendréis los tickets enseguida.

On a tuesday morning in august, not very early, we went to the Hermitage, since it opens at 10.30. My previously payed tickets were not very useful, as the procedure is more or less like this:

- People do a queue in front of the main door.
- At 10.30, it opens and you have to run through the courtyard to do a new queue. Places in the previous one are not kept.
- Ten minutes later, it opens and people run inside the building to make a mountain (not a real queue) in front of ticket office.
- We went to "information" with the document with prepaid tickets. The woman was very kind, she accompanied us to the ticket office and through the mountain of people.
- There the ticket officer took the document, my passport, got a notebook and searched through pages to find my reservation. She found it after a couple of minutes (people attending were starting to shout), she striked it, and then wrote another paper with info from my passport and from the document. She handled the document back to me, I should sign it. I did so, returned it to her, and she did a copy. She pushed a button on her keyboard and printed two tickets. I started to feel people trying to kill me with sights. She then put the notebook in a place, the document in a different one, the copy in a different one, and gave me the passport and both tickets.
- With tickets in hand, we simply went to the entrance hall.

Well, I must say that it does not seem very well organized. I had paid about 330 rub per person, and as a matter of fact, Hermitage is free for students, and you have to do the queue anyway. If you arrive early in the morning (early... 10.30!), just run a bit and you will have tickets in a moment.
